  3. Rashaad Penny and Royce Freeman would be lethal. You talk about Neihem having special teams value. How is everyone overlooks Penny's 8 kickoff/punt TD on 31.7 yards avg on Kickoffs.

  4. I think Detroit need to keep him if they get that offense line together he could produce for short yardage or catching passes out the back field

  5. 6 or 7th round pick? He's way better than Washington and Washington was a 7th rounder. The run game will be better with a new LG . Don't give up AA for nothing!

  6. I feel that is its completely unfair to judge Abdullah. He was running behind the o line that ranked 31st in yards before contact, 29th in second level yards, and 23rd in open field yards. Thats not good good run blocking at all.
Now, we have a new o line coach. An o line coach that has 67 100 yard rushers in 13 seasons while we have 13 in 13 seasons. Mind you, Abdullah had nearly cracked 100 yards behind this terrible blocking, so imaging how well he will do some good blocking. If Abdullah leaves, and we get a 100 yard rusher, everyone will say "told you he was ass", when they dont look at the full picture.
I'm just missing the part how our o line rankings, plus 12 different line combination, plus bad scheme, equals Abdullah is the one that needs to go. That literally is the opposite of solving the problem.

  7. At this point in time, we need to trade Abdullah to places like Dallas, or Buffalo. They would fit much better for him

  10. No, he is in for a break out year. Already this off-season he has trained with a lot of big name players like OBJ, Saquon Barkley, and Leonard Fournette and has improved his game a lot. And Patricia likes to use a lot of backs in his running back rotation so he will be very improved and will fit right in with the new rotation.

  16. He has more value to the Lions as a backup and kick returner in a running back by committee situation. He is too cheap of a player to cut outright for his talent level.

I'm not saying he is going to do squat if he stays but I'd be ok with him ending the season with 300-400 total yards and 2 TDs. That's averaging 25 yards a game and about 5-7 touches a game. Perfect for a backup spelling a starter for a drive. That's not including KR yards.

Then again that shows how low of an expectation I have for him in the situation.

  17. Everybody talking about Abdullah but at least he gave us 500 yards behind a shitty o line.Thats more than any of the other backs.Real question should be why is Dwayne Washington and Theo Riddick on the roster

  18. AA is a average back not as explosive as bush was in space. Kept missing the hole. The hole is in the inside he goes outside. Cant break that first tackle. Not a every down back. Set back by injuries. Good luck to AA on the next team.
