1,500 employees from Title Source, one of the nation’s largest providers of title insurance, are moving to downtown Detroit.
They will be moving into the First National Building, located at 660 Woodward Avenue.
The official announcement was made Wednesday by Dan Gilbert, the Founder and Chairman of Quicken Loans.
“From our standpoint, to retain this kind of talent in this economy, we have got to give them this experience in Detroit to keep them here,” Gilbert said.
Gilbert says the effort is part of his company’s plan to stop the brain drain in Michigan with a solid urban core.
The First National Building is a 25-story office tower which was completed in 1930. It was designed by Albert Kahn and occupies an entire block along Cadillac Square overlooking Campus Martius Park.
