2nd quarter profits down for DTE Energy, but chairman says company is on track for 2012

DTE Energy reported today lower second-quarter operating earnings of $ 146 million, or 86 cents per share, compared with $ 202 million, or $ 1.19 per share, in the same period of 2011.
