Thursday’s NBA notebook: Timberwolves use amnesty clause on ex-Piston Darko Milicic

Milicic, who was drafted by the Pistons with the second overall pick in 2003, received the amnesty designation, a one-time provision allowing a team to let a player go without his remaining contract counting against the league's salary cap or luxury tax.
